Passionate about explorations through fields of emerging technologies? Are you looking for some excitement from the comfort of home? TOHacks is BACK and will be held VIRTUALLY the weekend of May 2-3, 2020!

Based out of Toronto, Canada, this is the perfect opportunity to team up with friends and experience a weekend of engaging competition. Applications will remain open from April 2 - 22, we encourage students of all experiences to apply!


Event Schedule (all times Toronto time):

Day 1:

Check-in and Opening Remarks @ 12:00 pm - 1 pm
Hacking Begins @ 1:30 pm
Workshops, Sponsors Office Hours & Networking @ 2 pm - 9:30 pm

Initial Project Submission: 10 pm (select opt-in prizes, provide 1-liner - this can be changed)

Day 2:

Judging  @ 1:00 pm (Projects due at 12 pm)
Closing Remarks @ 3:00 pm

Requirements

Create a demo presentation that goes over your project in a clear and effective manner. Make sure that any pertinent files and links needed for your demonstration are provided in your submission.

The team that develops the coolest and most innovative DCP app wins a cash prize of CAD $500. Three runner-up teams will win a cash prize of CAD $100, per team.

Build an automation hack using UiPath! Each winning team member will receive a UiPath Branded Backpack.

Best use of MongoDB Atlas

Create a hack using MongoDB Atlas to host a database in the cloud! Automate the provisioning and deployment process with ease, while focusing all your efforts on your hack. Projects built using MongoDB Atlas will be eligible to win an AirCharge Plus.

Best use of Blockstack

Create an app using the Blockstack Platform. Winning team members will receive a pair of Apple BeatsX Earphones.

Facebook Spark AR Sticker Challenge

Create an Instagram filter using Facebook's Spark AR. Winner of the category will have their filter published through the MLH Instagram Channel & Featured on Facebook's Spark AR Community Page.

Most Creative Radar Hack

Build the most creative hack using Radar's SDKs and APIs for geofencing, location search, and geocoding. Some ideas for location-aware projects include: a delivery tracker, campus building locator, and a Find my Friends clone. Winning team members will be eligible to win a Tile Sticker Smart Tracker and a chance to be featured by Radar.
